Special Education in a HOME SCHOOL SETTING

This is a photo of a happy child blowing bubbles; it is a worthwhile activity in our opinion!

Our Mission is Inclusion

We welcome students who struggle in public school settings.  Staffed by a certified ESE teacher, a  parent of an exceptional learner, and two trained teacher's aides, we are the place you can find personalized educational, behavioral, and enrichment support for Special Education in Tallahassee. Our families work with us as a team to create the educational atmosphere our students deserve.  We accept the Gardiner Scholarship and can guide you through the application and reimbursement process. Students ineligible for the scholarship are accepted on a sliding scale basis.  We will NEVER require you to sign a contract; families should always be free to move their students for any reason.

Celebrating Individuality

We broke the mold.  No seating charts.  No child exiled to the back of the room.  No yelling teachers. No rigid schedules that trigger transitional issues. No chairs.  (Ok, we still sit, but on really cool bouncy balls!  And if sitting isn't your thing, we understand.  We have standing desks, too!)  We provide an inclusive atmosphere in which we encourage special education students, such as those with autism and specific learning disabilities, to focus on and grow their abilities.

Angie (Tallahassee)  12/15/2018

Edith Scheib is a truly exceptional tutor and was a Godsend for our family.  Our daughter was having a very difficult time with reading in Kindergarten and 1st grade, and therefore was not interested in the least in learning how to read.  We found Ms. Edith and then we immediately knew we hit the jackpot!!!  She is very talented, delightful, dedicated, supportive and extremely patient!  She helped create a very strong interest in reading for our daughter, which seemed impossible at first.  We could not have found a more perfect tutor for our daughter.  Mrs. Scheib is also very detailed and thorough at keeping the parents up to speed on the progress being made during each session.  I highly recommend Mrs. Scheib’s services and will continue to do so.

Edith is helping my son with vocabulary and reading comprehension. She is very knowledgeable on how to works with kids and my son is enjoying his tutoring sessions. She has given my wife and I great advice on different ways to help our son on reading comprehension. We are very content with her work.

Ms. Edith is very knowledgeable about the subject and works well with others. She is honest and enjoyed her tutoring lessons. We are very grateful for her work and tutoring sessions.

This woman has been a lifesaver for our family! My son is ADHD and has a heavy case of OCD. He struggles in school and we've been trying to get him help through the school for years. This woman has made a huge difference in his life. He is starting to show great signs of improvement in reading and his whole attitude towards the subject is changing. Edith makes each lesson fun and doesn't get put off by his occasional outbursts. Not only that, she (on her own time) attends meetings at the school for him and is a great advocate for him. We couldn't have received the accommodations we currently have if it wasn't for her. If you are looking for a tutor for your child, definitely check her out!

She is an amazing tutor. Very patient and enthusiastic. My son looks forward to her lesson and his confidence has increased. Thanks Edith and I recommend you to any student struggling with reading.
